Who are we?

In 2019, the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Expert Resource Group (ERG) was founded to help address the unique dermatological needs of sexual and gender minority populations. Recognizing the disparities in healthcare access and outcomes faced by these communities, the STI ERG aims to promote education, research, and advocacy to improve the understanding and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases within dermatology. This initiative aligns with the ADA’s commitment to fostering inclusive, equitable healthcare for all patients.
